The problem you have, is that you're trying to run what is significantly updated/effectively new software designed for modern ARM hardware, on your 25 year old ARM hardware.īut what's more amazing, is that this new version does actually work on RISC OS 3.1 - you just need the latest WindowManager module, which you'll find in your !System folder, in sub-folder !System.310 and it's the module called 'Wimp'.įor most new versions of System modules, the software can request that the new module is loaded from !System without you noticing, however because this module is in use by the desktop, it cannot be loaded while the desktop is active. This updated version was made free to download in November 2014. The version of SF3000 which you presumably download from here was updated/rewritten over past last few years by Christopher Bazley, to run on the latest ARM hardware (Raspberry Pi, Pandaboard, etc.) with RISC OS 5. ![]() That's the module which draws up the windows on the desktop If I try to run the same game on the A5000, it complains about not finding WindowManager 3.80.
